Tradescant & Son

We developed this textiles collection ourselves in 2014, and retailed it all over the world, before deciding to sell the brand.

Part of preparing the collection for sale included developing a powerful and stylish ecommerce website to showcase the designs, and allow the new owner to hit the ground running with sales from an elegant and robust online platform.

The Solution

We used Wordpress to create the Tradescant & Son website, as we wished to present the large number of designs in the collection in a flexible and easily manipulable manner, which the brand's new owner could edit and change according to their needs.

We focused on large close-up images of the designs as an economic solution to otherwise costly lifestyle photography, and prepared the product data in such a way that it could be easily imported to the site in bulk, rather than creating each product individually.

The finished product is lean, highly visual and has a robust back-end to manage sales and products, as well as a blog, security and SEO.

The Result

Tradescant & Son was successfully sold in early 2017, and the website contributed heavily to its status and presentation. The new owner continues to use the website to run the business, and it's flexibility and ease of use means that it continues to be an important part of the brand's strategy.
